How to publish my site using Front Page 2000\2002?
Solution
If you use FrontPage 2000\2002 to publish your web site, please follow the following steps:
1. If your main file is an HTML file, you must to name it index.htm before you publish. This will replace our index.htm with yours, so your main page will be displayed when your site is browsed.
If your main file is an ASP file, you must name it index.asp before you publish. Then you need to delete our index.htm either by directly editing your live site use FrontPage 2000\2002 or by using ftp;
2. With your web folder open in FrontPage 2000\2002, choose ""Publish Web"" from the File menu;
3. In the "Publish Web" dialog window, type in your web address:
http://YourDomainName
in the "Specify the location to publish your web to" box, and click the Publish button;
4.When prompted for authentication, type in:
FTP Username
FTP Password
in the "Password" box, and click at the Login button, FrontPage 2000\2002 will start the process of publishing your web folder to your web site on our server.
